Echocardiogram (Echo) Test in Sharjah
Safe, painless heart ultrasound reviewed by a cardiology specialist.

An echocardiogram, commonly called an Echo, is an ultrasound scan of the heart. At Emirates European Hospital in Sharjah, an Echo gives our cardiology specialists a clear moving image of your heart chambers, valves, and walls, and shows how well your heart is pumping blood.
An Echo is safe, painless, and uses no radiation. A small probe with gel is placed on your chest, and the test usually takes 20 to 40 minutes. You can return to your normal activities straight after the test.
Your doctor may recommend an echocardiogram to investigate shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, a heart murmur, or leg swelling, or to monitor high blood pressure, heart valve disease, heart failure, or the heart after a previous heart problem.
Echo results are reviewed by a cardiology specialist, who explains the findings and the next steps with you. An Echo is often combined with an ECG as part of a specialist cardiology consultation.
